“Under The Sea” July 2021
This collection is dedicated to our ocean and to everything that lives within it.
Our ocean is the beating blue heart of our planet and the largest habitat on earth.
It is the primary life support system on Earth. It is the lungs, the climate regulator, and the ultimate food factory. It is connected deeply to each and everyone of us, and nearly every economic activity that makes our planet go round. Without healthy oceans, our life on Earth would be severely challenged, unpleasant and probably impossible.
As we are all becoming increasingly aware, our ocean is in crisis. This is due to overfishing, huge levels of pollution, rising temperatures and coastal development.
‘Under The Sea’ is a tribute to our ocean, and hopes to perhaps raise awareness of the ocean crisis.
More than 80% percent of marine pollution comes from land-based activities. I hope this collection raises awareness. It might make us think how our daily actions might have catastrophic consequences for our ocean, and if so we might then be able to change them.
